NARRATIVE

Finally! Im getting a taster of the illustration on my course, its challenging at times but I really, really, really enjoy it

Above: Being given a clip from an unknown text, I had a go at creating characters from my mind (and a source or two to help for the clothes) I found it slightly daunting, but glad I gave it a go.

"Until at once this geometric scenario is filled with middle-aged women, wrapped in flowery scarlet-and-green gowns, their heads tied in scarved or with 'Empire' hairstyles or a fichu, wearing skirts too short for them from which swollen legs protrude in woolly stockings."

Above: Using one of my favourite quotes as a starting point, I altered it's context to link to my own. Originally used by the character Odysseus in 'The Iliad', I have used it to coincide with a female figure; a nurse, working in war.
